Every meter in one view
Bulk and household readings side by side, so you can see what came into the estate and where it went.
A small Smarta device fits onto compatible meters your estate already owns and sends readings in over the Sigfox network. The meter stays where it is, and there is no estate gateway to build or maintain.

The retrofit
If a mechanical meter has a compatible magnetic pulse output, the Smarta interface fits straight onto it. From then on, every pulse the meter produces arrives in Smarta Estate as a reading.
An installer fits the interface, checks the signal and confirms the first reading. You can start with one section of the estate and connect the rest later.
Fits compatible 15 mm and 20 mm domestic water meters without replacing them.
Daily or hourly readings travel over the Sigfox network, so there is no private estate network to build or maintain.
Continuous flow, pipe bursts and unusually high usage can raise an alert.
A field-replaceable battery and IP68 enclosure keep ongoing maintenance low.
Sigfox reaches across Africa, with availability varying by location and site conditions. Meter compatibility and coverage are confirmed during a site assessment. View the official Sigfox coverage map. Up to seven-year battery life applies to daily reporting and depends on operating conditions; hourly reporting uses more power.

The platform
Most estates track water in a mix of spreadsheets, message groups and paper files. Smarta Estate keeps the whole picture in one system that everyone works from.
Bulk and household readings side by side, so you can see what came into the estate and where it went.
Leaks, offline meters and tamper events are flagged to the right people, instead of waiting for someone to notice on a bill.
Compare usage across properties, months and seasons, and answer residents’ questions with actual numbers.
Set up the estate’s tariff steps once and every bill is calculated the same way, every cycle.
Run billing cycles, generate invoices and record payments, without retyping numbers into a spreadsheet.
Each team member gets the access their job needs, and every action lands in the audit trail.
How it works
An installer fits the Smarta interface to your existing meter. The meter itself stays exactly where it is.
The device registers on the Sigfox network and starts sending readings. There is no gateway or SIM card for the estate to manage.
Readings, alerts, analytics and billing appear in Smarta Estate for managers, finance and residents.
Who uses it
Managers, finance, maintenance and residents all see the same readings. What each person can do with them depends on their role.
A live overview of the whole estate, with access controls and an audit trail behind every change.
Tariffs, billing cycles, invoices and payment records in one place, calculated the same way every month.
Residents log in to see their own usage, invoices and payments, which means fewer queries at the estate office.

Smarta Estate is a remote water-metering and water-management platform for residential estates. It brings meter readings, leak and burst alerts, consumption analytics, billing, invoices and resident access into one system.
Not usually. A Smarta interface can be fitted to a compatible mechanical meter with a magnetic pulse output. Compatibility is confirmed during a site assessment; the standard retrofit is designed for compatible 15 mm and 20 mm domestic water meters.
No. Readings travel over the Sigfox network, so the estate does not need to build a private radio network, install a gateway or manage a SIM card for each meter. Coverage and site conditions are checked before installation.
Compatible devices can report daily or hourly. The right interval depends on the estate’s monitoring needs, local coverage and the preferred balance between reporting frequency and battery life.
Yes. Residents can use a secure portal to view their own consumption, invoices and payment history, while estate managers, finance teams and maintenance staff receive access appropriate to their roles.
Smarta Estate is designed for South African residential estates and gated communities, including the management teams responsible for their water operations.
